Monday Blues, Ep. 1

Super Bowl XLIV is now over and its fair to say that we all had a treat of a game. For the avid NFL fans, we enjoyed the Colts 1st quarter explosion, the Saints 2nd quarter response, the Saints 3rd quarter onside kick and the Colts 4th quarter meltdown.

Some look forward to watching the Super Bowl for the advertisements. How exciting is it to see the 30 second to 1 minute TV spots that companies have paid millions for! Overall,  it is safe to say that the advertisements were generally not that appealing based on previous years. However, there were some notable mentions. The technology industry has always been a highlight of each year’s advertisements and this year was without exception.

One of this year’s noteworthy Technology advertisements was by Google:

Google approach with this advertisement clearly shows that their search engine has far superior functionality than their rivals. It can even serve a sort of tutorial of its functionality, ease of use and even simplicity. One of the keywords that comes to mind is “Life”.
